Clean install of DNS 10.1 on new computer:
Stonewave Audio Pro, Win7 professional 64, 6 gb ram, 1.5 tb drivespace, Intel I7 quadcore 2.66ghz

DNS installed w/out a problem - but activation is proving impossible as the process refuses to generate of machine fingerprint. Now ArcView, which uses a similar licensing approach had no problems validating the install. This is a home system, i'm the only user, so i didn't bother creating a user profile, though obviously i'll have to create one w/ myself as administrator in order to run the accuracy center tools, which seems silly - critical / private information will be stored in an onthefly encrypted volume, which worked just fine on my defunct Velocity Micro system. But this is of no avail until i can somehow get the Nuance activation process to generate a machine fingerprint.

I bought this system because it is the among the quietest desktop systems available (the company markets to music recording studios; i do statistical analysis of epidemiological data and compute intensive GIS and since we're required by the NIH (or our subset of it) to use the wretched McAfee suite with its constant checking each byte read and written, DNS pretty much stops working after about 20 minutes @ the office so i REALLY wanted a system that could handle it neatly at home (the Velocity did fine - but suffered mobo failure). Any and all suggestions are welcome. This is the first piece of software which hasn't installed and been registered properly.
