DNS standard includes "playback on correction"?

Does DNS 10 Standard include "playback on correction"?

If it does, I guess I incorrectly installed the program. I use "playback on correction" in part to determine the microphone volume level.

Thanks.

See the Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Feature Matrix at:

Click the + sign next to Formatting and Correction Features. You will see Audio Playback and other audio features are not supported in the Standard edition.

Using the Audio Setup Wizard is the best method for setting the microphone volume.

That feature is not available in DNS Standard

Marty's link includes an excellent in-depth comparison of the different versions of NaturallySpeaking but to specifically answer your question, “playback on correction” is not available to you because DNS Standard does not include that feature or even a text-to-speech speech engine. In our opinion, DNS Standard simply lacks too many features to be worth recommending and if your software is less than 30 days old, you might consider returning it to Nuance for a full refund. Although we are Nuance-certified NaturallySpeaking Solutions providers, we do not recommend or offer anything less than DNS Preferred because Standard is simply too limited.

I use the Python open source free Dragonfly DNS extension to replace every other feature and then some. With the single exception of playback-on-correction, for me the standard version of DNS has too many features. I disable every checkbox in DNS options that has to do with extended functions because there is no need for them here using Dragonfly. When using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Dragonfly provides the ultimate voice driven automation/scripting tool for Windows. Mainly because it includes Continuous Command Recognition (CCR), it enables the future of voice powered computer automation. In the future, we will not be pausing between every command we issue to a computer, or someday the computer will respond "Why are you talking like that?"

Note: The problem with Dragonfly is that installing the thing is rocket science.
