Where is DNS 10 / Vocola's applist file for AppBringUp() and ShellExecute() + another Q?

also,
2. How do I correct DNS 10, when it hears a command wrong?
thanks

train that
Type the name of your command, highlight it and say “Train Word” if you are using KnowBrainer and if not, substitute "train that” and click the Go button. HOWEVER, unless you are using some very unique command names, you should never have to train a command name.

In fact, if commands are not being recognized more than sporadically, I've learned that there's usually something else wrong with my installation.
There are couple of things you should check in case of a suspected command misrecognition. First note when you are uttering the command if the results box border turns blue. Then you can pull up the recognition history to see what dragon thinks you actually said. Further diagnosis really depends on what you find following either of these steps.

On your main question, it's
On your main question, it's not clear what you're asking and I'm having trouble tracking it down because Nuance left out documentation on the scripting extensions from Pro 10. However, if I understand what you mean, the "applist file" the name of an application's file which you have to provide as a parameter to the AppBringUp() command.
If that answer is not crystal clear, then please post back with a further query

first, sorry to get back
first, sorry to get back late.
second, when i say "Open Volume Control," the volume control panel opens. When I say "Open SysInternals Suite," the SysInternals Suite opens, same with "Open Everest Ultimate Edition," etc. But when I say "Open FileMenu Tools" or "Open Contig" or "Open Process Explorer" (even with the folder with Contig.exe and Process Explorer.exe open in front of me), the command fails, or DNS might write "Open file menu tools" if I'm, for example, at a Firefox comment box.
With that in mind, is this a recognition problem in terms of my pronounciation, or is there a list of applications that DNS/Natlink/etc knows to apply the open command to, and if so, where is it so that I may add the names and paths of these programs to it?
Thanks.
I'm confused because I don't
I'm confused because I don't understand the context in which you're saying these commands, although I assume that you have the Control Panel open and are trying to start items listed on it?
Or are you speaking in the context of some script that you've written?
Bruce
context for the commands is
context for the commands is (should be) global... or the ones that work seem to work everywhere. For example, SysInternals Suite opens whether I say it now while typing at Firefox, or while looking at my desktop.
I haven't written any script except for 1 simple macro to copy and save selected text off Firefox, but I did install the Vocola/Python/Natlink/Unimacro package.

OK, I'm impressed with your knowledge of the NLCs! I didn't know you could open the volume control till now. I also get Open ProcessExplorer because I have installed that, so its on my Start Menu.
What about those other apps? They sound like things you installed. I'm not familiar with them. If they're on your Start Menu, they should work. If they're not, try dragging them there. If they are, try Start rather than Open, although it shouldn't make a difference, but I don't have any other ideas.
HTH,
Bruce
I do not know if this will
I do not know if this will help you but I have put what seems to be a full list of control panel applets and other run commands in the macro section.

I have only tested one or two of them but they seem to work as direct speech commands.

Mark,
That is a really useful list for any scripting tool. I wonder if Skip could figure out how to make it a "sticky" post, like on some email-type lists where a sticky post is always in view on top. Good work!

Done.
Thanks. I added Process
Thanks. I added Process Explorer to the Start->Programs list and now it works with an "Open Process Explorer" voice command. I take it the best way to go about this is just to add a lot of shortcuts into the Start Menu (or preferably into one designated folder in it)...
I didn't have Process Explorer installed as such because it came with other free, stand-alone utilities in SysinternalsSuite. Contig was another SysInternals App with no specific Start Menu link.
As for FileMenu Tools, that installs a handy set of right-click options for your mouse, things like 'copy path', 'copy name', 'delete and no move to recycle bin', etc. I want to make those into voice commands.

That is a classic solution that works without scripting. Clever of you to have figured it out!

If you can find a shortcut link to it, you can probably rightclick it and Send it to your desktop, which will provide a shortcut you can drag to your Start Menu.
