Cant install python
Submitted by omaha on Sat, 12/20/2008 - 22:16.
Hello everybody, I have a very small problem!
I cannot for the life of me of me, install python
When I download python, I get a file that has a capital to T..G. Z. ending in the file name.
I have no idea how to install this.

You need the proper unpacker
You need the proper unpacker for that archive. The TGZ format is generally a GZipped Tar file (Unix/Linux).
I use the 7-Zip open source program for this. It can be obtained at http://www.7-zip.org/ in 32bit or 64bit formats.
What I do is to open the TGZ, then leaving it open I double click on the TAR file within then extract what's inside the TAR portion. Hope that made sense.

is this with the
is this with the Pythonneededfornatlink2.5a.exe "package" which I put on SourceForge? (see http://qh.antenna.nl/unimacro/installation/install... )
Quintijn
first of all, what platform
first of all, what platform are you on? Are you on Windows or Linux?
If you are on Windows you probably have the wrong package and would be better off with Python needed for Natlink which can be found at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group...
