Speech-wiki status?
Submitted by Coop on Tue, 08/19/2008 - 20:41.
Is there any info on the Speechwiki? It seems to be down and has been for a long time. I'm particularly interested in the Natlink-Vocola installer. Are there other options?
Has any one tried Vocola with V10?
TIA,
-Coop

It was up earlier today. Scott has renewed the hosting so it will be around.
It's not loading right now, so maybe the server is rebooting or maintenance is being done.
I'd check later on it.
The site is there this
The site is there this afternoon, but the Natlink home page http://speechwiki.org/NL/HomePage.html is still being spammed
. The good news is that the links to the sub pages still work, but no Vocola download.
It is possible to find it...
Click list all versions | search for (86.163.184.239)or markPK and click on the link. This will temporarily restore to Vocola 2.5 and NatPython 1.5. (If anyone has the link to 2.6, please put it up and let us know the link). You can restore it, but it will soon get overwritten by more spam.

The correct install pages
The natlink download and install instructions are at
http://qh.antenna.nl/unimacro/installation/install...
including vocola and unimacro.
It has just been confirmed it seems to work on NatSpeak 10
( http://www.speechcomputing.com/node/2036 )
Can the SpeechWiki people please update their pages, so they point to above web address for the install pages?
Quintijn
Quintijn, Since the web site
Quintijn,
Since the web site is a wiki, you can update it yourself.

That is the problem...
That is the problem... within 10 minutes it will have been corrupted again by the idiots who keep on substituting a load of offensive rubbish for the proper contents.
Is there anyway of creating an new speechwiki.com/NL/main home page with a different name such as NatspeakMain and deleting the present page?

PS
The whole site is down again tonight
Probably the only one that
Probably the only one that has access to do what you need is Scott as he's the site owner. I'm unsure how he has things setup there, but what it needs is a review before publishing option on the page. That way they are held offline and out of view.
That's one reason I don't run a wiki thus far. Perhaps there are things I'm missing though.

is the old installer. The newer one at sourceforge is better, though.
just fyi.
