Can this Mac use SR?

Does anyone know if an iMac circa 2006 would be able to use Speech Recognition? Any recommendations?

It could use the old Macspeech iListen speech recognition software. However, as you have used Dragon NaturallySpeaking, you are unlikely to be happy with iListen.
The newest version of Macspeech Dictate uses the newer Intel processor-based computers. Macspeech Dictate uses the Dragon NaturallySpeaking engine and is thus highly accurate. There are still refining things like the correction facility and need to add modules like the add words to document feature and transcription from a recorder.
Also, the new Macspeech Dictate program only works with USB microphones.
